A Whole New World: A Reflection For Q1

This Quarter 1 was quite the journey; we got to procure new knowledge and revisit cyberspace and its origins. I'm Cedrick and today you are gazing at a pond that reflects on a memory lane that stores my pages of knowledge on a lantern of memories.

Initially, before delving into the origins of the Internet, I had taken its existence for granted, in which I lacked the awareness presented by formal education. Now that I have comprehended the evolution of the internet. I have ultimately appreciated the Internet more. If it weren't for our lessons in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), I would dwell in a state of ignorance.

Upon uncovering the fact that the Internet's beginning traces back to military applications, I found myself taken aback by this unexpected revelation. The past is quite an eye-opener to me and the fact that it shaped the current internet.

With the introduction of the internet, I believe many users have been enthralled by the establishment. Many netizens now enjoy conveniences such as sending instant messages via e-mails with a click— anytime and anywhere. I also believe that the birth of the internet has allowed netizens to share their thoughts via Talkomatic back in the '70s. Now we have Reddit, Discord, Facebook, etc.

I am now pondering on the further evolution of the internet. Who knows, we might have some advanced codings or an improved connection speed.

This first quarter is indeed mind boggling and I wanted.
